It was a restful Shabbat here in Tverya, which was the perfect way to catch up on sleep and reflect on our experiences over the past 10 days. We held our own outdoor Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday night, and then enjoyed a Shabbat meal at our hotel. After a much-appreciated late morning start, services for some, and Shabbat lunch, we spent the afternoon keeping cool in the Tiberias heat at the nearby Gai Beach Hotel, with waterslides and a wave pool. After three stars appeared in the night sky over the Kinneret, we raised our voices during Havdalah in hope that the sweetness of the day will carry us forward in the remaining days ahead here in Israel.

It was then off to the Yigal Allon Promenade in Downtown Tverya for shopping and a late dinner … and, of course, our own dance party …
